Caesars Palace Las Vegas Unveils New Multi-Million Dollar Front Entrance Renovation

• Caesars Palace has unveiled a remodeled front entrance to give their iconic Las Vegas property a fresh look.
• The entrance features a 15 foot tall statue of Augustus Caesar under a domed ceiling.
• This is the first of several renovations planned for Caesars Palace during 2022.

While the Nevada gaming industry continues to wither on the vine, the rest of the city’s tourist economy is in much better shape. Visitation is up, and there’s a lot of new properties coming online within the next couple of years. That means that the existing casinos need to ‘up their game’ to compete and few do that better than Caesars Entertainment. Their flagship property–Caesars Palace–opened in 1966 and thanks to frequent and thoughtful renovations it is still viable today. Given that much younger properties are started to feel seriously dated–case in point, Caesars’ next door neighbor The Mirage–the ability to remain fresh and exciting is no small accomplishment.

Caesars Entertainment announced plans for a redesigned main entrance in July and earlier this week their work was unveiled. Here’s how the Las Vegas Review-Journal described it:

Caesars Palace this week unveiled the multimillion-dollar renovation to its front entrance, giving a revamped touch to the resort’s iconic ancient Roman aesthetic.

Along with new mosaic tiling and a colorful domed ceiling, a 15-foot-tall statue of Augustus Caesar standing beneath an ornate chandelier in the center of the lobby now welcomes resort guests.

Sean McBurney, regional president of Caesars Entertainment, had these comments:

“Caesars Palace set the standard for luxury and grandeur when it opened in 1966, delivering experiences unlike anywhere else in the world. Since then, the resort has proudly been a change-maker and trendsetter in Las Vegas. As we create the next wave of extraordinary offerings for our guests throughout the property, we are thrilled to reopen our front doors with a dramatic, new main entrance.”

Other upgrades should be unveiled soon–specifically a new lobby bar and gaming areas. McBurney had these additional comments about the forthcoming renovations:

“Once complete, this will be the arrival and gaming experience that Caesars Palace deserves and will set the tone for everything we offer at the iconic resort.”

A remodeling of the Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace is also underway.
