• Depth Difference: A loaded program can replace an injured 5-star player with a 4-star. Low-majors fall into much tougher spots when a starter gets injured.
• Fewer Parity Factors: College doesn’t feature drafts or salary caps to evenly distribute talent.

A 30-point spread opens up a lot of potential value. One way to find this value is by considering coaching tendencies during blowouts.

Does the winning or losing coach play their starters longer than they should during a blowout? If the stronger team pulls starters early and the weaker school keeps them in, this could lead to a potential late TD and backdoor cover for the losing side.

Another strategy involves focusing on second-half spreads or totals, where navigating high variance and having in-depth knowledge wins. You can combine coaching tendencies on playing/pulling starters with available info on backups for both sides.
