bet365 Now Live In Louisiana

  • bet365 has launched mobile sports betting in Louisiana.
  • It is the seventh US state for the well known UK based book.
  • Next up will be a launch in North Carolina and Arizona.

bet365 is starting to gain some traction in the US marketplace. Most recently, they’ve announced the launch of mobile sports betting in Louisiana. The new market was opened through a partnership with the Amelia Belle Casino, a Boyd Gaming owned riverboat property near the Louisiana Gulf Coast almost equidistant between New Orleans and Lafayette.

Louisiana is the 7th US state for bet365 joining Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. Two additional states are reportedly on deck. They’ve recently been awarded one of the political bargaining chips/licences in Arizona. You’ll recall that Arizona has limited their sports betting licenses to ten for tribal operators (despite the presence of 23 Federally recognized tribes) and 10 for the financial benefactors of state politicians…er…..sports franchises.

In addition, bet365 has signed a partnership deal for North Carolina market access with the ownership group of the NBA Charlotte Hornets. North Carolina isn’t even trying to pretend that they’re setting up any semblance of an open, competitive market for sports betting and will simply juice in all of the pro sports franchises in the state. Branding for bet365 is already showing up at the Hornets’ Spectrum Center home venue.

An unnamed bet365 spokesperson had this quote:

“Celebrated for its passionate culture and festive spirit, we are thrilled to bring bet365 to Louisiana. Now eligible customers from Shreveport to the Big Easy can enjoy our renowned products like amazing Bet Boosts, the fastest In-Game experience and unique Same Game Parlays.”

No indication when bet365 will begin service in Arizona. As for North Carolina, there’s no indication when the bumbling state lottery agency will cobble together a regulatory framework though it should launch sometime in 2024.
