- ‘The Masked Singer’ is a US adaptation of a hit Korean TV series.
- The season 1 winner was T-Pain aka ‘Monster’
- Episode 4 of ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 2 will air on October 16, 2019 at 8 PM Eastern on Fox TV
All of the preliminary rounds for Season 2 of The Masked Singer are complete. In Episode 3, The Eagle was eliminated and revealed to be former KROQ Lovelines radio host with Adam Carolla turned TV host of that show and Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew none other than Dr. Drew Pinsky. This was extremely surprising since everyone in the fanbase of The Masked Singer was convinced that The Eagle was Poison vocalist Bret Michaels. Not even close.
That’s somewhat concerning since the way I did the odds for this was to perform as much due diligence as possible about who was behind the masks. So far, I’m 1 for 4–correct with The Egg being Johnny Weir. I’m going to update my research this week so be prepared for some dramatic changes in the odds next time out. There are now 12 contestants remaining and for now at least it appears that the lineup of performers for this week is privileged information.
The Episode 3 ratings were identical to Episode 2 with a 2.0 rating/10 share. The good news for the producers is that the third episode saw a slight increase in the viewership from 6.97 million in Week 2 to 7.11 million in Week 3.
