  • The NHL Vegas Golden Knights have announced a multi-year deal with Circa Las Vegas to serve as the team’s first ever jersey patch partner.
  • The NHL is allowing teams to sell jersey advertising patches starting with the 2022-23 season.
  • Circa Sports offers retail sports betting at five locations in Nevada along with mobile wagering in Nevada, Colorado and Iowa.

Circa Sports has already made one big announcement in the past week–that they’ll be opening their first location in Northern Nevada at the Legends Bay Casino in Sparks this Summer. Their latest news drop has a decidedly local touch. On Monday, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that Circa Sports will be the National Hockey League (NHL) team’s first ever jersey patch partner. The Circa Sports logo will be on the VGK home jersey starting with the 2022-2023 season.

Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens has indicated that the initial deal is for five seasons. The The NHL is allowing teams to sell jersey advertising patches starting with the 2022-23 season. Teams that are playing in jurisdictions where sports betting has been regulated are allowed to partner with sportsbooks. The Washington Capitals became the first team to announce their jersey patch advertising plans last September, adding the Caesars Sportsbook logo to their home jerseys. VGK has recently announced an extension to a promotional partnership with BetMGM. The team has had helmet sponsors for the previous two seasons with Credit One Bank sponsoring the VGK home helmets and P3 Health Partners sponsoring their away helmets.

Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens is excited to add his company’s logo to the Vegas Golden Knights’ iconic home sweaters:

“From the very beginning, I have been an avid supporter of the Vegas Golden Knights. Anyone who’s walked through Circa’s doors knows we’re passionate about sports, and I take great pride in connecting the Circa Sports brand with the first Vegas Born team in the ever-growing sports city of Las Vegas.”

Knights president Kerry Bubolz says that his team is pleased to continue their relationship with Circa in a different venue:

“We are proud to continue our work with Circa Las Vegas through our first-ever jersey entitlement partnership. Circa Las Vegas and the Vegas Golden Knights both recognize the tradition within our historic community while also contributing an integral role in the growth of our beloved sports and entertainment industry.”

Other NHL teams have announced their jersey patch partnerships for the 2022-2023 season. The Columbus Blue Jackets will feature the logo of locally based auto glass repair chain Safelite. The Pittsburgh Penguins will feature the logo of the Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance provider.
