‘Survivor: Edge of Extinction’ Episode 13 Betting Odds

by James Murphy in Entertainment  / May 3, 2019

  • This is the 38th season for CBS’s reality show.
  • ‘Survivor’ was one of the early pioneers of the reality TV genre.
  • ‘Survivor: Edge of Extinction’ Episode 13 airs May 8 at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Another episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction where nothing really happened. Ron Clark was voted off of the island only he’s not really gone–he’s on Extinction Island along with ten other poor saps. There are still only two players that have really been eliminated. I hope that the producers of Survivor do us all a favor–and particularly those of us charged with setting odds on the show–and not reprise any ‘they’re gone but not really eliminated’ plot devices.

This is a concern because there are only two episodes remaining (well, not counting the ‘Reunion Special’ after the actual top prize is determined). I guess the plan is for a player or two from Extinction Island to win a challenge to get back into the game at which point the other 9 or so will be officially eliminated. They really didn’t do much with Extinction Island which is my secondary beef with the plot device. Either they should develop it and do something entertaining with it–someone suggested a stand alone web streaming video series focusing on Extinction Island–or just not use it. The way it worked this season, it was the worst of both worlds.
