  • USL soccer side Indy Eleven has announced BetRivers as the team’s official sports betting partner.
  • In addition to promotional assets in the arena BetRivers will have a logo on the team’s jersey sleeve and sponsor the postgame show following all local TV broadcasts.
  • The USL is the United States’ second tier professional soccer league behind the MLS.

The United Soccer League (USL) is the country’s second tier professional soccer league and BetRivers.com has scored a sponsorship deal with one of their teams. Indy Eleven has announced BetRivers as the team’s ‘Official Sports Betting Partner’ as part of a multi-year promotional partnership agreement. They are the third ‘pillar partner’ for the team–the top sponsorship level–and will have exclusivity in the sports betting category throughout the duration of the partnership agreement.

The press release announcing the partnership ran down the list of some of the perks that BetRivers gains in the deal:

Highlights of BetRivers’ Pillar Partnership include “sleeve logo” placement for an Indy Eleven partner on all 2021 PUMA jerseys, a “Presenting Partner” night in conjunction with a 2021 home game, sponsorship of the 30-minute post-game show following all local television broadcasts (20 games in 2021) on WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23 (The Central Indiana Honda Dealers Post-game Show, presented by BetRivers), prominent signage and digital assets, and sponsorship of the opening segment of the weekly Soccer Saturday radio show that airs on 93.5/107.5 The Fan.

In conjunction with the partnership, BetRivers will also be featured via numerous Indy Eleven promotional avenues including, but not limited to: on-field signage, commercial inventory on local television and national/international streaming video broadcasts, advertisements in the club’s official Victory gameday program, and placements on the team’s official website, indyeleven.com.

April has been a busy month for BetRivers, the online/sports betting division of Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) is the parent company of BetRivers. Since the company went public via a SPAC deal with dMY Technology Group in late 2020 they’ve been in high gear. They now offer online/mobile betting in Pennsylvania, llinois, New Jersey, Indiana, Virginia, Iowa, Michigan, and Colorado. In early April, BetRivers announced the launch of their online casino platform in West Virginia. More recently, BetRivers presided over the grand opening of their branded sports betting lounge at the home rink of the Pittsburgh Penguins, PPG Arena.

Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw praised BetRivers for their level of commitment to the team:

“Since the legalization of sports betting in Indiana in late 2019, Indy Eleven has been extremely focused on finding a true partner to maximize what has become a pivotal area for growth in all corners of the sports industry. I want to thank BetRivers for the tremendous commitment they have shown to our club. We look forward to working with them in a myriad of ways beginning with the upcoming 2021 season.”

Mattias Stetz, COO of BetRivers parent Rush Street Interactive, did the honors for his company:

“BetRivers.com is excited to be an official sports betting partner of Indy Eleven. This partnership combines two organizations that share an unwavering commitment to excellence in providing sports fans with unparalleled experiences.”

The visibility of the USL has increased significantly in recent years. They previously had a broadcast deal with ESPN in place and recently announced a deal with ESPN International that will expand the league’s footprint throughout South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

At the time of publication, Ross Everett has a long position in RSI.
