  • BetRivers has signed former NFL player turned analyst Mark Schlereth as a brand ambassador and content creator.
  • Schlereth played twelve seasons in the NFL for Washington and Denver winning the Super Bowl three times.
  • BetRivers is owned by Chicago based Rush Street Interactive.

There has been considerable talk among broadcasting and ad industry analysts that gambling content is the next red hot trend in the US media market. That could explain why sportsbooks have been busy all summer beefing up their lineup of content creators, writers, podcasters and analysts. Rush Street Interactive owned sports betting platform BetRivers has been one of the most active and today announced their second new brand ambassador/content creator this week–and it’s only Tuesday. On Monday, BetRivers announced the addition of James Blake to their team as a brand creator and tennis analyst. Today, they announced the signing of former player turned NFL analyst Mark Schlereth in a similar role.

Schlereth was an excellent NFL player that enjoyed a twelve year career with Denver and Washington. Along the way, he played on three Super Bowl winning teams and is considered to be one of the best guards to ever play in the NFL. He’s continued to excel following his retirement–he’s pursued acting roles appearing in several motion pictures and daytime TV’s The Guiding Line. Even more impressively, he’s become a highly respected NFL analyst with Fox Sports.

The BetRivers press release announcing the deal gave more context about Schlereth and his career both during and after his NFL days:

Schlereth, who is also a former NFL Pro Bowler, was an NFL studio analyst at ESPN for 16 years on NFL Live and was a weekly NFL contributor to Mike & Mike in the Morning. He’s currently a color commentator for NFL games broadcast on FOX NFL. He also appears as an analyst on FS1 television programming.

The deal with Schlereth will leverage his popularity in the red hot Colorado sports betting market dating back to his time with the Denver Broncos. He will be part of the BetRivers “Bet with a Winner” campaign and serve as a brand ambassador and exclusive sports betting endorser. He’ll also create unique content for Broncos fans throughout Colorado and NFL fans throughout the U.S., on the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse platforms.

Richard Schwartz, CEO of BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse parent company Rush Street Interactive is pleased to welcome Schlereth to the team:

“Mark Schlereth is respected as one of the top NFL analysts with two decades of covering the pro games on sports networks under his belt. Adding Mark and his vast experience as a champion player and NFL analyst will bolster our football coverage and give our bettors key NFL insights and analysis as they make their sports wagering decisions.”

Schlereth is excited about communicating directly to NFL bettors through the BetRivers platform:

“I’m really looking forward to interacting with BetRivers players. It’s one thing to offer my insights and analysis on television and radio broadcasts, but it’s really exciting to share my experience with bettors during call-ins and through other BetRivers Network platforms to help them make educated betting decisions.”

Rush Street Interactive operates retail and/or mobile betting under the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands in Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa and West Virginia. They are also headed to Arizona to offer mobile sports betting in a partnership with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. BetRivers will also enter into a sponsorship and branding agreement with the Rattlers.
