The National Football League (NFL) will contest their conference championship games this weekend but one bookmaker has already paid their clients–on the Super Bowl winner. Betfred has announced that they’ve issued an early pay out for all US online and retail wagers on the Bengals to win Super Bowl LVII. Any player holding a ‘to win’ wager on Cincinnati as of 10 AM Pacific on January 25, 2023 were paid as winners. This is regardless of the ultimate outcome of the rest of the Bengals’ playoff slate.
In addition, Betfred is booking new wagers on the Bengals to win the championship at +300. By way of comparison, here’s what the other major sportsbooks in Colorado are currently offering on Cincinnati to win the title:
To receive this line, bets must be made on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl prior to kickoff in Kansas City on Sunday, January 29. Both announcements were made by Fred Done, founder and chairman of Betfred.
Bryan Bennett, Chief Operating Officer of Betfred USA Sports cited his company’s relationship with the Bengals as the impetus for the early payout:
“As a partner of the Bengals, we’ve had a special relationship with Bengals fans all season. After the team’s huge win on the road in Buffalo last week, we had seen enough to believe they’re the best team in the league. As a result, we made the decision to pay existing championship bets early as a goodwill gesture to fans and customers.”
The Betfred +300 Super Bowl price is only available in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio. Tough luck, Washington State.
