2022 has been a big year for Canadian facing sportsbook Bet99. They were acquired by lottery and gaming technology provider Kings Entertainment and have launched in Ontario after licensing by the provincial Alcohol and Gaming Commssion (AGCO). They’ve also signed on some of Canada’s most famous athletes including Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews and MMA great Georges St. Pierre. They’ve now added another name to their roster of brand ambassadors, welcoming Canadian soccer standout Sebastian Giovinco to the fold.
Giovinco is a former member of Canada’s national team and the all time leading scorer for Major League Soccer (MLS) side Toronto FC. He’s joining Bet99 just in time for the World Cup, but a press release announcing the deal indicates that he’ll continue in this role after the event has concluded. BET99 and Giovinco will launch the partnership on Instagram with a number of celebratory fan giveaways, including signed soccer balls and merchandise. Giovinco will also host an Instagram Live appearance with BET99 and provide picks and predictions for upcoming World Cup games.
Giovinco will join the BET99 SOCCER HOUSE watch party on November 27, 2022 at local Toronto sports pub, The Firkin on Bay Street, where Giovinco will lead supporters of Team Canada in cheering on the team’s second World Cup match. Giovinco will also post pre-game and halftime hits, led by OneSoccer writer and sportscaster James Sharman, and which will be shared on all BET99 channels, including BET99TV.
